Copyright & DMCA
StreamZap respects intellectual property rights and responds to complete copyright notices and counter-notices in accordance with applicable law.
Submitting a notice
A rights holder or authorized agent should identify the copyrighted work, identify the StreamZap video or exact URL claimed to infringe, provide contact information, state a good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, state under penalty of perjury that the notice is accurate and authorized, and include a physical or electronic signature.
Incomplete, vague, or abusive reports may be delayed or rejected. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation may create liability.
Review and removal
StreamZap may restrict access to reported material while reviewing a notice. A complete notice may be forwarded to the uploader, and relevant records may be preserved. Removal does not decide ownership; it is a risk-control step under the notice process.
Counter-notice
An uploader who believes material was removed through mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notice identifying the removed material, giving contact information, consenting to the jurisdiction required by applicable law, accepting service of process, and stating under penalty of perjury that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, with a signature.
Where legally permitted, material may be restored after the statutory waiting period unless the claimant confirms that court action has been filed.
Repeat infringement
StreamZap may terminate publishers who repeatedly infringe rights or repeatedly upload material without the necessary permissions. Serious or deliberate infringement may result in immediate termination.
Other rights reports
Trademark, privacy, publicity, performer-rights, or other legal complaints should clearly identify the right, the exact content, the reporting party, supporting evidence, and the requested action. Emergency safety concerns should also be reported to appropriate authorities.
